Target Audience: Maths and science teachers who have been nominated by their school to attend this training

Objective: Phase 1 is a general English programme based on the curriculum standards for maths and science that is aimed at improving teachers’ general proficiency and competency in English.
This will be followed by phases 2 and 3 which develop teachers’ subject content language, English language pedagogical skills and their language integration skills based on the curriculum standards (in semester 2)

Date: Testing will be on 15th October and the training will begin on 26 October to 11 December (32 hours)

Ending Date: 11/12/2008

Time: Timings will vary throughout the programme

Frequency: 4 hours a week for 8 weeks = 32 hours
