The Needs Analysis tool is available for use by Independent Schools in Qatar and is designed to align professional development needs of all staff and the school priorities. It also assists Professional Development Co-ordinators in identifying the personal development needs of staff members aligned to the National Professional Standards for Teachers and School Leaders.

Please be reminded that it is of vast importance to do the NEEDS ANALYSIS prior to conducting the PD Plan for the upcoming term. All activities within the plan should be justified by a real current need.

The PD Planning Proforma is meant to help PD Co-ordinators to plan ahead for the upcoming term. It is where they should be writing all PD activities, whether these are going to be provided by the SEC or by any other provider. Please, do remember the first PD Plan draft is due on June 21. Feedback from the PD Office is to be expected by June 30. However, the second draft should be handed at the beginning of the upcoming academic year. The exact date for the second draft is October 30.
Please be reminded that all the activities have to be matched to your school priorities and needs. This means that a thorough needs analysis has to be conducted prior to filling out this proforma.
